Online registration
Your online registration is valid only if you complete it with a successful card payment (SimplePay). After payment, you will see a “Successful payment” message, followed by a confirmation email. The registration fee is always recorded according to the price valid on the day of payment.
Participants in the 5 km distance must have turned 10 years old by the day of the race
Participants under 18 years of age are required to submit a parental consent form when collecting their bib number, in which the parent or guardian authorizes participation in the race at their own responsibility.
Race pack pickup
Race packs/bib numbers can only be collected by presenting the QR code received in the confirmation email. Without presenting the QR code, our colleagues are unable to hand over the pack and the bib number. Race pack pickup will be available on the day of the race as well as on the days leading up to it, at the HALL Race Center:

- Sunday, April 4, 2027, 06:00 - 11:00, according to the relevant distances
Awards
Short distance (5 km) – Individual
Overall: male and female 1st–3rd place
Individual age groups:
- 10–34 years: male and female 1st–3rd place
- 35–49 years: male and female 1st–3rd place
- 50+ years: male and female 1st–3rd place
The overall winners (1st–3rd placed female and male finishers) will be awarded following the finish of the 3rd-placed athlete (relay team) in the given race category.
Announcement of age-group results: 12:15
Overall results are announced based on gun time, while age-group results are announced based on net time.
Route, refreshment stations
The 5km course passes through the central areas of the Nagyerdő, and its profile provides the opportunity to achieve excellent results.
On the southern section of Pallagi ut (the section between Nagyerdei korut and Olah Gabor utca) the organizers provide a water refreshment option, while after finishing water, isotonic drink and fruit are available to the runners.
Participants are required to keep to the right along the entire race route, and on certain sections they may encounter oncoming runner traffic, as well as parallel vehicle traffic – separated from the running course. Therefore, attentive movement and compliance with the rules are especially important for safe progress.

The polo is decorated with a printed pattern. Made from breathable, quick-drying, moisture-wicking technical fabric (100% polyester).

All sizes listed are in cm, with a tolerance of ± 5%.
Important: polos can only be requested via pre-order, until the indicated deadlines. After this, it will no longer be possible to order a polo. Pre-ordered polos can be collected together with the race pack at the event venue.

Yes, it will be available under the menu items on the website, and we update it regularly.
Yes. You need to enter your Ötpróba ID during registration. For relay teams, Ötpróba individually handles the retroactive validation of points.
Traffic restrictions on Nagyerdei körút (in the section by the Idősotthon) will already begin the day before the event, on Saturday. Along the race route, residents of the city can expect road closures from around 6:00 AM on April 4 until the end of the race (expected to last until around 2:00-3:00 PM). We will provide accurate and detailed information about this in the weeks leading up to the race, through our own channels (website, Facebook) as well as through local media.
There will also be changes to public transport: some bus routes will already run on diversion routes on Saturday, and the tram will operate in sections. For up-to-date and accurate information, please follow the announcements from DKV and the organizing team!
On race day (April 4, 2027), the University of Debrecen will open its parking lots to event attendees at the Nagyerdei campus (Clinical Center - this is the closest to the race center), the Egyetem tér campus (6-8 minute walk), and the Kassai út campus (10-12 minute walk).
Yes. Baggage storage, toilets and changing facilities (separate women's and men's changing tents) will all be available at the race center (Hall, Nagyerdei Stadium north event area). Mobile toilets will also be available at the Hatvan utca refreshment station.
You will need the QR code from your confirmation email in order to collect your race pack. If this confirmation email is missing, please be sure to contact our back office team (info@debrecenmaraton.hu). The most common cause is a typo in your email address when submitting your registration (which means you won't receive our email).
Yes, we provide seating for spectators both on the mini grandstand set up next to the start/finish zone and in several locations at the race center (e.g. also inside the Hall).
Yes, however registration always closes 60 minutes before the start of the given race.
