Online Registration
Your online registration is valid only if you complete the process with a credit card payment (SimplePay). Following the payment, you will see a "Successful Payment" message and receive a confirmation via email. The registration fee is always recorded based on the price applicable on the day of payment.
Race Pack Pickup
Packs and bib numbers can only be picked up by presenting the QR code received in the confirmation email. Without the QR code, our staff will not be able to hand over the pack or the bib number. Race pack pickup will be available on the day of the race and on the days preceding it at the HALL Race Center:
- March 27, 2026: 16:00-20:00
- March 28, 2026: 12:00-20:00
- March 29, 2026: 6:00-10:00 for specific distances
Awards
Marathon – Individual, Duo, and Quartet*
Absolute: Male, Female, Male duo, Female duo, Male quartet, and Female quartet 1st–3rd place
Age group individual:
- 18–34 years: Male and Female 1st–3rd place
- 35–49 years: Male and Female 1st–3rd place
- 50+ years: Male and Female 1st–3rd place
* Mixed-composition duos or quartets are classified in the Male category.
Absolute results are announced based on gross time, while age group results are based on net time.
Special prize for corporate entities:
A special prize will be awarded to the company/organization that registers the highest number of participants.
Relay, Relay Points, and Section Division
In relay races, every team member receives an individual bib number, while timing is conducted using a dedicated relay bib number. The first members of the relays must enter the start area with both their own and the relay bib number. The exchange takes place by handing over the relay bib at the designated relay point (located next to the start/finish area); thus, each relay member completes a distance of 10.548 km. We kindly ask teams to ensure the safety of other runners during the exchange and to ensure that only the currently relaying runners remain in the relay zone.

T-shirt order
During registration, you can pre-order two types of race T-shirts, which are optional and can be requested for an additional fee :
Basic technical t-shirt
Pre-order for 5,990 HUF until March 2, 2026.
The T-shirt is decorated with a printed pattern. It is made of breathable, quick-drying, sweat-wicking technical material (100% polyester).
Premium running shirt and University of Debrecen Premium running shirt
It can be pre-ordered for 14,990 HUF until February 16, 2026.
RELAZ – sportswear made from recycled PET bottle plastic. Microfiber recycled polyester 81%, Multi-filament recycled polyester 6%, Elastane 13%.
This is an airy light material that provides the wearer with a high sense of comfort. The high elastane content ensures proper stretch. Of course, this is made of recycled material – so-called RPET – in accordance with the requirements of the new age.
Our goals here include education for environmentally conscious thinking, tree planting and garbage collection.

Online registration is available until midnight on March 26, 2026. After this, registration is only possible on-site in limited numbers on March 27 and 28. The race has a capacity limit; the maximum number of participants is 5,000.

The Participant acknowledges that the Organizer increases the entry fees in stages in accordance with the competition rules. He accepts that the chosen entry fee is only valid if it is paid by the indicated deadline. Regarding payment deadlines, the Participant accepts the deadlines set by the Organizer, which are included in the Competition Rules - if he fails to meet this, the Organizer may delete him from the entry list.
The children's race is open to those who have not yet reached the age of 14. The Short Distance (5 km) and Quarter Marathon distances are open to those who have reached the age of 14 on the day of the race . The Half Marathon (21.1 km) distance can be entered by anyone aged 16 or over , while the Marathon (42.2 km) distance is open to anyone aged 18 or over . Competitors under the age of 18 are asked to submit a parental consent form when picking up their starting numbers, in which they authorize participation in the race at their own risk. The t-shirts are made to order, so unfortunately it is not possible to modify or exchange the size afterwards. All size charts are included with the order, so we recommend that you measure yourself in advance, so we can be sure to provide you with the right size in the start package.
Yes, there will be refreshment points with water, isotonic drinks, cola and fruit available. This is a cup-free event, so you will need to bring your own. Please leave the middle of the route clear for runners who do not want to stop for refreshments but would rather continue straight ahead.

The ambulance must always have priority. Runners must move aside and ensure unobstructed passage.
Yes. There is a mandatory right-hand lane throughout the race route, and participants may encounter oncoming traffic at certain sections. Therefore, it is essential to drive carefully and follow the rules for safe progress.
The results announcement will be held in the HALL building.
You can submit your entry and change your team member until midnight on 09.03.2026 by sending an email to info@debrecenmaraton.hu. The entry fee will not be refunded.
Registration fees are non-refundable. You can pick up the starting package for the ticket purchased during registration in the days before the race and at the venue by showing the confirmation email you received from the race center.
Visitors and companions have the opportunity to participate in the event free of charge and cheer on the competitors without registration.
